An Exotic Mountain Experience

Inspired by our adventures in the South Pacific, the Java Ski Haus was custom built incorporating hand crafted woodwork from the island of Java to create a one of a kind ski chalet in the heart of Steamboat Springs! The home is less than 5-10 minutes from the World-Class Steamboat Ski Resort (we usually walk it!) and provides the perfect oasis from a day of adventure.

The home features views of the ski mountain (enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the gondola run) and coveted South Valley Views. With 4 large bedrooms, there’s plenty of room for 14. The first Master Bedroom is on the Main Level. There is a second Master Bedroom upstairs along with two additional bedrooms. The “Artist Studio” bedroom has a queen bed, pull out sofa and plenty of room for cribs so you can keep the little ones close. Our Bunk Room is just down the hall and features 2 sets of bunks with a Full over Full and a Twin over Full plus stairs leading to the upper bunks so you don’t have to worry about ladders in the middle of the night.

Spread over 3 floors there is plenty of room to spread out or gather round the large dinning room table or in our fire-warmed living room. Downstairs enjoy a movie in our family room (also has a pull out sofa) or a game of Clue around our game table.

This home will inspire memories for a lifetime.

- Fully stocked kitchen with all cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc.

- The home does have a private elevator which can we turned on for guests needing assistance with the stairs. We ask that no unaccompanied children use the lift.

“Loved our stay!”

We absolutely loved our stay and our hosts could not be more wonderful!! The location is fantastic with 360 degree views and the home itself is amazing with stunning architecture and beautiful furnishings. The owners even gave us a print from the artist who painted many of the paintings in the house - such a special extra touch and a great memory! We can't wait to return again this winter for ski season!!

“We had a great stay here. We were a group of 10, and we all enjoyed our time. The house was very clean when we arrived, the kitchen was well stocked (we cooked all weekend), and the check in was a breeze with the property manager (ask about mountain biking - they'll give you the local tips!).
